Kate Middleton's pregnant style file: we chart the Duchess of Cambridge's maternity wardrobe
When they announced their third pregnancy via an official statement from Kensington Palace in September, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge caught the fashion world somewhat off-guard.
International fashion weeks were imminent but there was now a whole other wardrobe to consider.
Kate,
who is now in third trimester kept her wardrobe relatively muted at the
start of her pregnancy, but has now begun to inject bright hues back
into her wardrobe.
Burgundy
and black tones have been replaced by fuchsia, crimson and pops of
pattern as the Duchess's baby bump becomes more prominent.
There's
no doubt that Kate must be feeling the added pressure of a global
audience throughout her pregnancy. However, Kate continues to navigate
the very complex conundrum that is 'maternity wear' like an expert.
          Thanks
to her innate love of a full-skirted coat, loose-fitting button-down
pieces and the majority of the world's most prestigious fashion
designers vying to dress her, Kate is proving her worth as a style icon
among pregnant ladies.
During her previous pregnancies with Prince George and Princess Charlotte, the Duchess opted for a number of cotton dresses and shift-style coats by British brand Goat, which she continues to recycle throughout her current pregnancy.
          Furthermore,
Kate is also impressively sticking to heels throughout her pregnancy,
remaining loyal to her round-toe courts - rotating pairs in navy, nude,
pale grey and black.
As the Duchess enters her third trimester we will undoubtedly see a sartorial shift that is sure to be equally as stylish.
